How do I find my ring size?
Method 1: Measuring Your Finger
1. Gather Materials: You’ll need a strip of paper, a ruler and scissors.
2. Cut the Paper: Cut a strip about 15cm long and 1cm wide.
3. Wrap the Strip: Take the paper or string and wrap it around the base of the finger you want to measure. Make sure it’s snug but not too tight.
4. Mark the Overlap: Use a pen to mark where the end of the strip meets.
5. Measure the Length: Lay the strip flat and use the ruler to measure the length from the starting point to the mark.
6. Find Your Size: Use a ring size chart to convert the diameter measurement to a ring size.
Method 2: Using a Ring You Already Own
1. Select a Ring: Choose a ring that fits the finger you want to measure.
2. Measure the Diameter: Place the ring on a flat surface and use the ruler to measure the inner diameter of the ring.
3. Convert to Size: Use a ring size chart to determine the size based on the diameter measurement.
Additional Tips
• Temperature Considerations: Your fingers can swell or shrink depending on the time of day or temperature. Measure at room temperature, preferably in the evening.
• Multiple Measurements: For accuracy, measure your finger a couple of times and take the average.
• Consider Width: Wider rings may fit tighter, so you may want to go half a size up for comfort.
• Seek Professional Help: If you’re unsure, consider visiting a jeweler for a precise measurement.
